Neverwinter: The Year of Deep Water Drifting
This is a large park that contains the lake for which the region is named. The water was polluted by a great deal of ash and rubbish in the quake, and today Blacklake looks more like a midden pit of sludge than a lake. Some locals are making an effort to dredge it and restore the surrounding environs.
A great serpentine creature – the Beast of Blacklake – is rumoured to lair beneath the sludge. It supposedly snatches passersby when it is hungry, dragging the unfortunate victim under the water to be devoured at the creature’s leisure. Other tales say that the Beast is marked with the cerulean fires of the Spellplague possibly making it a cousin of those creatures spewed forth from the Chasm.
